Madras, Oregon is hitting its stride. A downtown revitalization
program is under way. Recent Jefferson County (Madras is the county seat)
legislation has declared select regions around Madras as ideal for resorts.
Employment opportunities are rapidly growing due to, among other things, the
near future building of a state of the art prison. And, property in Madras
remains among the most affordable in the Northwest. Friendly, proud, and only
one hour from Mt. Hood National Forest, Madras recognizes its value as a strong
community and is building spirit as we write.
